Bond Process

The simple process is that a cosigner for the defendant, known as the "indemnitor", pays a licensed Bail Bondsman a non-refundable fee then and contracts with that Bail Bondsman to post the full bail amount that is due for the defendant.

By contracting with with us the cosigner / indemnitor guarantees the amount of the bond and agrees to reimburse the Bondsman any additional fees and expenses if the defendant fails to abide by the terms of the Bond Agreement. For example, if the defenendant did not return to court when ordered to do so. The value of the bond is secured by the cosigner / indemnitor’s creditworthiness and/or collateral.

Your obligation and guarantee of the bond terminates when the bond has been released by the court. At this point a certified copy of the release will be sent to Tayler Made Bail Bonding. Lastly, all outstanding fees still due will need to be paid in full.

Not everyones situation is the same and it's our job to understand yours so that we can make the best recommendations. Give us a call with any questions you may have.

What is a Bail Bond?

“Courts set bail so that defendants can be released from jail with some assurance that they will, in the future, appear in court as required. A commercial bail bond is a contract between a bail agent and an indemnitor to secure the release of a defendant from jail. Rather than pay the full amount of the court-established bail, the indemnitor pays the bail agent a portion of that amount. As a licensed bail agent, the bail agent simply guarantees the court that the defendant will appear as required. Failure to so appear renders the bail agent liable to the court for the full amount of the bail.”
Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), Sunset Review(Link)

Bail amounts in Jefferson and other Colorado counties can be anywhere from hundreds of dollars to tens of thousands of dollars and beyond. A licensed bondsman is able to review your situation and secure the financing that guarantees the bail payment to the Courts.

Tayler Made Bail Bonding is licensed in the state of Colorado to perform just this service and we pride ourselves on being a compassionate locally trusted bondsman agency for over 10 years, right here in Englewood.

It’s an important question that actually has many more implications than most folks realize. In order to bring some clarity to the issue we’re going to look at the subject of bail, the factors that go into determining the amount of bail the court demands and...

The 8th amendment to the US constitution states in just a few succinct words that “excessive bail shall not be required…” This is intended to protect the accused from public servants who might abuse the bail system to keep a person in jail indefinitely. As any Arapahoe County bail bonds agent can tell you bail itself is hardly a new idea. Way back in 1275 the English parliament passed a law that defined exactly what was and what wasn’t a bailab...
